Ignacio Youth Baseball

Our mission at Ignacio Youth Baseball is to guide young people through baseball development while instilling a sense of belonging, good sportsmanship, courage, honesty, and respect; and to continuously develop mental and physical skills that they can carry into high school sports and beyond.

Spring Registration

February 6, 2026 - March 15, 2026

Registration includes team jersey and hat.

Payment and copy of birth certificate will be needed for registration. If financial assistance is needed, please contact ignacioyouthbaseball@gmail.com prior to registering.

Divisions

Game Location

All games will be played in Durango, Colorado, as we work toward merging our leagues back together to provide the best experience possible for all players.

Team Formation

Our goal is to form teams within each age division. If we do not receive enough registrations to field a full team in a division, we will make every effort to combine age divisions when appropriate so that as many children as possible have the opportunity to play.

If any changes to divisions or team placement become necessary, parents will be contacted first, and no changes will be made without discussing the options and obtaining parent approval.

We appreciate your flexibility and support as we continue working together to grow youth baseball in our communities. We look forward to another fun and successful Fall Ball season!

Divisions (Spring and Fall)

4U: Ages 4- 5 (all 4-year-olds and any new 5-year-olds) (4 Fun team)

6U: Ages 5-6 (Returning 5-year-olds and all 6-year-olds) (T-Ball)

8U: Ages 7-8 (Coach Pitch)

10U: Ages 9-10

12U: Ages 11-12

14U: Ages 13-14

* Age is determined by age as of 5/1/2026

T Ball updates

For the Spring 2026 season, T-Ball will be divided into two groups to better support player development and enjoyment:

4U Fun Team
This group is designed for 4-year-olds and new 5-year-olds who have never played baseball. Players in this group will focus on fundamentals, skill-building, and fun through practices and intramural games.
T-Ball (Ages 5–6)
This group is for returning 5-year-olds and all 6-year-olds. Players will practice as teams and participate in intramural games, as well as games with Bayfield T-Ball teams. Games will primarily be coach pitch, with a tee used as needed.

League Updates

We are excited to share that we are working closely with the new President and Board of Durango Youth Baseball to bring our communities back together under one league.

Last spring's season was an important step in creating positive change, but we also recognize that it was challenging for players, families, volunteers, and all of the organizations involved. We appreciate everyone's patience and support throughout that process.

Our shared goal is to once again have a unified league where our communities play together, creating more opportunities for players, stronger competition, and a better overall experience for everyone. We believe working together will strengthen youth baseball throughout Southwest Colorado, and we are excited about the progress being made.
